Southside Variety Abilities Unleashed Kids

About The Event

Ready for a fun day of games, movement, and new adventures?

Disability Sports Australia and Wingecarribee Shire Council invite children with disability to our free Abilities Unleashed event.

Proudly supported by My Guardian, MatchWorks, and the Australian Sports Commission, this event is a fantastic opportunity for children with disability to explore different sports in a safe, inclusive environment.

It’s the first step in their journey to discover local active opportunities!

What to Expect:

  • Upon arrival, children will be grouped into smaller teams.
  • The day begins at 10:00 AM with a welcome to start the event.
  • Participants will rotate between 4-6 activity stations, featuring modified sports and active recreation, using adaptive equipment to suit everyone.
  • Experienced coaches and volunteers will lead each station.
  • The event wraps up around 1:00 PM.
  • Be sure to bring your own snacks and lunch for the breaks.
  • A detailed schedule will be sent out a week before the event.

Photos and Videos:

There may be photographers and videographers in attendance to capture the fun and promote inclusive sport for everyone.

A media consent form will be sent out prior to the event – please complete it before the day.

If you prefer not to be photographed or filmed, you’ll be given a special bib or wristband.
