Ready to embark on a day of fun, movement, and new experiences?
Disability Sports Australia, along with Kingston City Council and Bayside Council, invites children living with disabilities to our free Variety Abilities Unleashed Kids event. Proudly supported by Variety Victoria – The Children’s Charity and Matchworks, this multi-sport “come and try” day marks the first steps in an active journey for children living with disabilities.
Each event empowers participants to discover local active opportunities in a fun, safe, and inclusive environment.
How the Day Will Look
- Participants will be divided into smaller groups upon registration.
- After a welcome at 10:30 AM, participants will rotate across 4-6 activity stations.
- Activities include modified sports and active recreation, with adaptive equipment suited to each participant.
- Specialized coaches, supported by students and community organizations, will facilitate each station.
- The formalities of the day will conclude around 1:30 PM.
- Participants should bring their own snacks and lunch for the breaks.
A detailed run sheet will be sent one week prior to the event.
Photography
Videographers and photographers will be capturing content during the event to promote disability-inclusive sport.
