Research participants wanted

Are you a male between 18-35 years of age and are physically active?

Peta Forsyth, a PhD Scholar in Paralympic Sports from the Australian Institute of Sport is conducting research on comparing able-bodied and spinal cord injured athletes during exercise in the heat.

What is involved?

1. Preliminary session (1 hour)

  • Aerobic capacity test
  • Body composition assessment (DXA scan)
  • Body height and mass
  • Fitness questionnaire

2. Two exercise sessions

  • 30 minutes of exercise, followed by 45 minutes of rest
  • Physiological measures (body temperature, sweat loss, heart rate, skin blood flow) collected during exercise

Flights, accommodation and food expenses covered for all interstate participants
