DSA Board appoints John Croll as new Chairman

It is with great pleasure that the Board of Disability Sports Australia announces the appointment Mr John Croll as the Chairman of DSA.

John Croll has worked in the media industry for more than 30 years and was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Isentia in 1999. He has led the company through private ownership, private equity with Quadrant Private Equity and finally an Initial Public Offering on the Australian Stock Exchange in 2014. John is a Life Fellow of the International Association for the Measurement and Evaluation of Communications (AMEC), a Life Fellow of the Public Relations Institute of Australia and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. John was previously the Vice President of the Australian Paralympic Committee.

“I have been involved with sportspeople with a disability for more 8 years. I have seen the way lives are changed through participation and elite sport for our athletes with a disability and their families. I am excited to work with the DSA team to continue and extend the opportunities for our sports.

“The coming years bring a clear focus on increasing the participation of Australians with a disability in sport and active recreation, and I look forward to working closely with John and the Board of DSA to support more Australians with a disability have more choices and better access to sport and active recreation activities” said Jenni Cole, CEO of Disability Sports Australia.

We welcome John’s experience and leadership, as well as his passion for disability sport, as DSA works to achieve excellence in all aspects of our operations so that we can effectively and sustainably work to change lives through sport.
