Education and Resources

Accessibility Champion

This free and simple online course helps sport organisations and leisure providers include and welcome people with disability.

What is the Accessibility Champion Course?

The Accesibility Champion Course is a free, easy online program for community sport clubs and leisure provider. It teaches the basics of accessibility and helps make places more welcoming for people with disability.

This course gives clubs and providers a simple understanding of disability. It helps people feel more confident to talk about disability and include people with disability in local programs, clubs and activities.

By starting with the basics, the course raises awareness of disability sport and leisure. It encourages friendly, inclusive spaces so that everyone has a good experience. It also helps create more chances for people with disability to join sport and recreation across Australia.

To support lasting change, Disability Sports Australia offers useful tools and links to other disability sport organisations. These resources help clubs and providers to keep improving accessibility over time.
