Disability Sports Australia was founded by our member organisations. Together we have more than 60 years of history in disability sport in Australia.

Who Are Our Members

Our members bring specialist knowledge, deep community connections and on-the-ground expertise across a range of sports and disability types.

DSA works alongside our members to build capability, align with national strategy and strengthen participation across the sector. Together we reach thousands of people with disability each year.

WADSA is the peak body for disability sport and active recreation in Western Australia, representing and supporting 36 member organisations across the state.

Through statewide programs, partnerships and sector leadership, WADSA delivers inclusive sport and recreation initiatives spanning metropolitan, regional and remote communities. Each year, thousands of Western Australians with disability engage in activities ranging from structured sport and skills programs to community recreation, leadership development and outdoor adventures.

Sporting Wheelies (QLD)

Sporting Wheelies and Disabled Association has been helping Queenslanders with disability lead active, healthy lives through sport, recreation and fitness since 1977.

They support people with a range of disabilities through programs delivered by staff and experienced volunteers, and connect members with sport providers committed to inclusion.

Disability Sport & Recreation (VIC)

Disability Sport and Recreation was founded in 1962 by Australia’s first Indigenous Paralympian, Kevin Coombs, making it the birthplace of the Victorian Paralympic movement.

Today DSR delivers programs including the Victorian Disability Sport and Recreation Festival the Victorian Disability Sports Awards and it’s WheelTalk school education program

ParaQuad Tasmania

ParaQuad Tasmania supports people with physical disability across Tasmania through sport, recreation and community participation.

Founded in 1990, they deliver services focused on improving quality of life for people with physical disability, including sport and recreation opportunities alongside education and advocacy support.

Wheelchair Sports NSW

Wheelchair Sports NSW/ACT is the state sporting organisation for wheelchair sport in New South Wales and the ACT.

They support specialist wheelchair sports clubs to deliver quality experiences for all ages, focused on changing lives through participation in sport.

Rebound Western Australia (WA)

Rebound WA provides sport, activities, information, support, advocacy and community to Western Australians living with physical disability.

Previously known as Wheelchair Sports WA, they are open to anyone with any physical disability or condition that impairs coordination and mobility, across all sports and all abilities.

One Culture (SA)

One Culture Support Services is a not-for-profit, NDIS registered disability support service based in Adelaide, South Australia.

They deliver inclusive sport programs across football, tennis, basketball, swimming, cricket, pickleball, powerchair hockey and powerchair football, open to all ages and abilities.

Cerebral Palsy Sporting and Recreation Association (NSW)

CPSARA supports children, adults and families living with cerebral palsy and other neurological conditions through sport and recreation opportunities across New South Wales.

They connect athletes with their chosen sport, provide tools to support sporting journeys and link participants with fellow athletes and current events.

Australian Powerchair Hockey Association (NSW)

The Australian Powerchair Hockey Association provides opportunities for people with physical disability to play hockey in powerchairs, open to all ages, disability types and genders.

They run competition in Sydney with national expansion underway and provide pathways for athletes to represent Australia at international level.
