This document has been created as a guide for how the Disability Sports Australia brand should be used for events, social media, communications, promotions, and other activities. Within the document, correct use of typography, colour and logo usage, both in print and online, can be found.

Disability Sports Centre for Excellence Announced

Disability Sports Australia are pleased to announce a successful application through the NSW Office of Sport’s Centre of Excellence round one grant fund for a new facility to be built in partnership with Blacktown City Council on the Blacktown International Sports Park site in Western Sydney’s Rooty Hill.

Kieren Perkins OAM to keynote at the Disability Sports Australia National Conference at University of Sunshine Coast

Disability Sports Australia have partnered with Sunshine Coast Council and hosts University of Sunshine Coast to host a three day Sports Symposium. The conference will feature a keynote speech from Australian Sports Commission CEO and dual Olympic gold medallist Kieren Perkins OAM and newly elected member of the International Paralympic Committee and current Chair of the Australian Sporting Alliance for people with a disability (ASAPD) Robyn Smith.

Louise Sauvage OAM talks about coaching Madi Di Razario on Episode 1 – Part 2 of the Breaking Disability podcast

Disability Sports Australia launched its new podcast series titled “Breaking Disability” on August 20th, with an interview with Paralympic Legend Louise Sauvage. In Episode 1 - Part 1 Louise spoke about her childhood, her career and how her obsession with sport shaped her life. In Episode 1 – Part 2 Louise will talk about coaching the Tokyo Gold Medallist, Madi Di Razario and how she views employment and social isolation for people with disabilities.

Australian Sporting Alliance for People with a Disability

Australian sport will be more inclusive of people with a disability, impairment or limitation thanks to the formation of the Australian Sporting Alliance for people with a disability. This Alliance consists of nine core organisations who have come together to form a key peak agency for sport and physical activity for people with a disability in Australia.
