Our Impact
Each year, our programs and partnerships create opportunities for thousands of people with disability to take part in sport in their community.
Measuring Our Impact
We measure impact across participation, capability and awareness. Participation grows when those three work together.
Our programs introduce people with disability to sport in accessible and supportive environments. These first experiences often lead to ongoing participation.
We strengthen the sport system by equipping clubs, coaches and administrators with practical training and resources that support accessibility and participation.
Through national campaigns such as Changing Lives Through Sport, we elevate public understanding of disability sport and highlight its social value.
Our work is guided by the Disability Sports Australia Disability Advisory Committee, ensuring lived experience informs how we measure, design and deliver.

Goal 3
Through programs such as Abilities Unleashed and Try Para Sport, people with disability experience the physical, mental and social benefits of sport. These experiences often lead to lifelong participation and improved wellbeing.
Goal 4
We provide learning that builds capability across the sport sector. Programs such as Accessibility Champion and Building Inclusive Sport Clubs provide scalable training and practical tools that support accessibility practice.
Goal 10
Our programs reduce barriers and promote equality. Guided by the Disability Advisory Committee, lived experience informs decisions. Campaigns such as Changing Lives Through Sport also raise awareness and shift perceptions. Participation gaps close and sport becomes more representative of our community.
Goal 11
We activate schools, councils and community facilities to increase local access. Strategic projects, including the Blacktown Disability Sports Centre, demonstrate how long-term investment expands opportunity.
Goal 17
Collaboration is central to our work. We partner with clubs, councils, national organisations, governments and corporate partners to expand reach and strengthen impact.
Partnerships That Grow Disability Sport
Our impact is made possible through partnership and the generosity of supporters across Australia.
We work with the Australian Sports Commission, Bupa, Paralympics Australia, national sporting organisations, state and territory governments and community partners to build the capability of sport and increase participation for people with disability.
Together, we reach more than 3,300 people with disability through programs and over one million Australians through national campaigns.
Your support through partnership, donation or philanthropy helps make that possible.
