Disability Sports Australia (DSA) has partnered with Tender Loving Care as the Naming Rights Partner for the Abilities Unleashed Kids event in Liverpool on Wednesday 16 September 2026.

Tender Loving Care’s support will enable the delivery of the event at Whitlam Leisure Centre, connecting children with disability to sport in their local community and strengthening access at a grassroots level.

Tender Loving Care is a registered NDIS provider delivering personalised disability support services, supporting people with disability to participate in everyday life and their community.

Abilities Unleashed is a national, multi-sport participation program that connects children with disability to sport in their local area. It provides a clear starting point, helping participants and families understand what is available, how to get involved, and where they can continue beyond the day.

The Liverpool event will bring together local sporting organisations, providers and families through a structured program designed to create direct connections into ongoing opportunities.

Kristy Rohrer, National Participation and Education Manager at Disability Sports Australia, said the event plays an important role in connecting local communities.

“This event helps children with disability in Liverpool connect with sport in their local community and understand what opportunities are available to them.

We thank Tender Loving Care for their support in making that connection possible.”

Kristy Brennan, New South Wales Manager at Tender Loving Care said the organisation is pleased to support the Liverpool event.

“We’re proud to support this event and help connect children with disability to sport in their local community.”

Over the past 12 months, the program has delivered strong participation outcomes across Australia:

  • 50 events delivered
  • 3,309 participants engaged
  • 137 schools involved
  • 181 local sporting organisations engaged
  • 552 coaches and program deliverers involved
  • 261 volunteers activated

The program works with schools, teachers, local sporting clubs and delivery partners to ensure activities are delivered in ways that work for each participant, with a focus on local opportunities and ongoing participation.

This partnership reflects a shared commitment to increasing participation by strengthening local connections and supporting people with disability to engage with sport in a way that works for them.

This aligns strongly with Disability Sports Australia’s focus on reducing barriers for participation and creating accessible pathways into sport for people with disability.

Tender Loving Care also supports community-based sport and physical activity through initiatives including learn to ride programs, school holiday programs and inclusive activities that build confidence, skills and connection.

Through this partnership, more children with disability and their families will be able to discover local sport, connect with clubs and providers, and continue participating beyond a single event.
