Zero Project Conference 2026
Day 1 #ZeroCon26
After clearing all the security protocols we entered the main building for the conference.
Over a thousand participants, multiple stands, side events and rapid “speed dating” style meetings – this is Zero Conference in full force!
It was great to see sport featured very prominently in today’s program and across the conference. Today saw a talk on blind baseball and wheelchair tennis.
Tegan made friends with Nicolas from Special Olympics Germany and Ivan from the Inclusive Sports Network Austria.
We’re remembering to stay hydrated as we progress through sessions on accessibile ICT. A feature of Zero Conference and the Zero Project is an emphasis on corporate innovation in research and design. This is mainstreaming disability on a global scale.
Looking forward to Day 2 and chairing the session on Building Community through Sport.
Day 2 #ZeroCon26
A snowy start to the day today. We attended a session on Inclusive Innovation where impact was discussed as social change.
In the afternoon we prepared for the session we Chaired, Golf, Rugby, Athletics: Building Community through Sport.
There were four panelists from the US, UAE, Spain and Slovenia and the key theme across all the presentations was belonging!
The session was very well received by the audience with several audience members thanking the panel for their insights.
More to come…
