This plan shows our promise to make disability sport in Australia more inclusive, accessible and fair.
Over the next three years, we will work to build inclusive sport by taking practical steps, working with others across the country and listening to people with lived experience.
Our work focuses on four key areas- Awareness, Accessibility, Capability and Excellence. Through these, we want to create more opportunities, increase grassroots participation and make sure every person with disability can enjoy sport in a way that suits them.
To build the capability of sport to enable the meaningful participation of people with disability.
To improve opportunities for people with disability to be involved in sport in the way they choose.
Lives and communities changed through the power of sport.
From 2025 to 2028, Disability Sports Australia will focus on four key strategic pillars that guide our work and drive meaningful progress:
Awareness enhanced through identity, influence and engagement.
Clear pathways, improved access and increased participation.
Improved knowledge, effective education and positive behavioural change.
Enhanced resources, diversified revenue and collaborative partnerships.
