Who We Are

Our Strategic Plan 2025-2028

Our Strategic Plan 2025–2028 sets the direction for how we will strengthen participation in sport for people with disability.

About the Strategic Plan

The Strategic Plan 2025–2028 sets out how we will work with partners across Australia to remove barriers, strengthen capability and increase participation.

It was developed through consultation with DSA members, the Disability Advisory Committee, and partners across the sport sector, and in ongoing dialogue with the Australian Sports Commission.

Our work focuses on four areas: Awareness, Accessibility, Capability and Excellence.

Our Participation Plan

Our Participation Plan 2026–2029 sets out how Disability Sports Australia and its member organisations will deliver on this Strategic Plan with members, aligned with the Australian Sports Commission’s Play Well Participation Strategy.

The plan identifies five priority areas where we will work together to strengthen grassroots sport for people with disability.

Our Purpose, Mission and Vision

Our Purpose

To build the capability of sport to enable the meaningful participation of people with disability.

Our Mission

To improve opportunities for people with disability to be involved in sport in the way they choose.

Our Vision

Lives and communities changed through the power of sport.

Our Drivers for Success

From 2025 to 2028, we will focus on four areas:

Awareness

Awareness enhanced through identity, influence and engagement.

Accessibility

Clear pathways, improved access and increased participation.

Capability

Improved knowledge, effective education and positive behavioural change.

Excellence

Enhanced resources, diversified revenue and collaborative partnerships.
